In the last article, Jack Canfield’s: Self-Esteem & Peak Performance, I discussed how I became aware of his set of audio tapes, Self-Esteem & Peak Performance.
I peeked around youtube to see if there were any interesting pieces by Jack Canfield and I found several.
Jack Canfield is best described as an understanding, compelling, empowering and compassionate coach who has helped hundreds of thousands of people achieve their dreams.
In this 1 minute video, he talks about the importance of acknowledging that we often create our own fears. If you have never heard Jack Canfield speak, this short video clip will give you a glimpse into his style and his compassionate spirit. Moreover, it is EXCELLENT advice!

All of my greatest breakthroughs in life occurred when I simply acted in spite of my fears.
One instance came to mind immediately. I had an excellent job with Sun Microsystems about 12 years ago. I was offered another job with more money, prestige, etc – but I would have to report to a guy I couldn’t tolerate. After about a month, I turned the job down. This meant I would have to find another job or leave the company. Within 30 days I’d found a far better job in the company with an overseas posting and international scope.
That never would have happened if I had succumbed to fear and failed to ask for what I really want.

Hey Jan,
Thanks for your feedback 🙂 I have experienced the same dynamic myself on many occasions. Pushing the comfort envelope is a great way to grow!
Cheers,
